Affiliate Disclosure

We earn commissions from some broker links on this site. Here’s exactly how that works, and what it means for our editorial independence.

How we earn commissions

Broker Verdict participates in affiliate programmes operated by some of the forex and CFD brokers we review. When you click a link on this site and subsequently open a trading account with a broker, Broker Verdict may receive a commission from that broker. This commission is paid by the broker, not by you — it doesn’t affect the amount you deposit, the spreads or fees you pay, or any other aspect of your trading relationship with that broker.

Not every broker we review has an affiliate arrangement with us. Where we don’t have a commission arrangement, we still review the broker and link to them using standard links.

How commissions affect our reviews

They don’t determine our editorial conclusions. Specifically:

  • A broker paying us a commission does not receive a more favourable review than it would otherwise.
  • A broker we find regulatory gaps or other issues with gets those issues reported honestly, even if we have an affiliate relationship with them.
  • The broker we currently recommend first — Exness — is the one our team believes is the strongest option for South African traders based on our research, not the highest-paying affiliate.
  • We do not accept payment from brokers to change, soften, or remove editorial findings.

For a full account of our editorial standards, see our editorial policy.

How we label affiliate links

Affiliate links on Broker Verdict carry rel="sponsored" markup in the underlying HTML, which identifies them to search engines and assistive technologies as commercial links. Pages containing affiliate links also include a visible disclosure near the link itself.

FTC and ASA compliance

This disclosure is provided in compliance with applicable advertising standards guidelines, including those of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and equivalent standards applicable in South Africa and other jurisdictions where our readers are based. The core principle is simple: if we have a financial relationship with a broker, we tell you.
